Your new role

As a Management Accountant, you’ll work directly with the Managing Director, contributing to the success of the company. This is a pivotal role, blending technical accountancy expertise with opportunities to drive business improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include preparing and delivering end-of-month management accounts, conducting profit & loss reporting, managing bookkeeping duties including credit control and VAT returns, handling sales and purchase invoices, and monitoring finance-related emails. You will also post transactions to bank and credit card accounts and execute any other finance-related tasks as required. Additionally, you will assist in creating and documenting policies and procedures, develop and analysing performance reports, identify and implement business improvements, and provide ad hoc support to the Managing Director as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll need experience in a similar role within industry or practice. Proven skills in preparing management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT reporting are essential. A proactive mindset and the ability to support strategic business goals will be crucial for your success. Additionally, you should be part-qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
