Your new role

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Tax Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing valuable insights to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements.
  • Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Offer expert advice on tax planning and compliance to clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless financial operations.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within an accountancy firm.
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • An AAT qualification or equivalent is preferred.
