£400 - £450 Per Day, Outside IR35, Contract, Business Analyst

A renowned Scottish university is embarking on a digital transformation project. They are at the forefront of technology within the sector, leveraging cutting-edge innovations to enhance their educational and administrative processes. This initiative aims to create a more efficient, connected, and student-centric environment, positioning the university as a leader in digital education.

Your new role

You will provide strong Business Analysis skills, leading colleagues in system discovery, understanding user requirements, gap analysis, identifying development opportunities, data mapping, and capturing business processes for solution design to inform the implementation phase of a large, complex systems replacement project.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential

  • Previous experience working in Higher Education
  • Demonstrated ability to showcase the competencies essential for this role, acquired through relevant experience in similar roles or varied positions. Or, Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 9 (Ordinary Degree, Scottish Vocational Qualification level 4), or equivalent (including professional accreditation with relevant formal training), with experience in personal development within a similar or related role(s).
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of business analysis tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of data mapping techniques, data quality assurance techniques, and data governance principles.
  • Knowledge of and exposure to the IT system development lifecycle
  • Practical experience in business analysis, utilising business analysis methods to document data structures and business processes and defining business requirements.
  • Practical experience of stakeholder engagement and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders throughout the development cycle and beyond.
  • Experience in translating business process information and requirements (as-is) to conceptualise the information as a technology solution (to-be).

What you'll get in return

Day Rate: £400 - £450
Contract Length: 6 months initially
Hybrid Working (project dependent)
