This is a standout opportunity to join a well-established organisation at the heart of national infrastructure, currently undergoing a major digital transformation. Based in Salisbury, the business is embracing a cloud-first strategy and investing heavily in modern technologies to support its long-term vision. A large-scale Azure migration is underway, and you'll be working closely with a highly experienced Solutions Architect to help shape and deliver this transformation. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking Technology Operations team that values collaboration, technical excellence, and a strong customer focus—making it an ideal environment for learning, development, and taking real ownership of cloud innovation.
Your new role
- Designing and deploying resilient Azure infrastructure
- Administering Azure resources across compute, storage, networking, and identity
- Automating provisioning using Terraform or ARM templates
- Monitoring performance and availability of cloud services
- Enforcing security best practices and compliance standards
- Supporting workload migrations from on-premises to Azure
- Maintaining disaster recovery and backup strategies
- Driving continuous improvement through innovation and collaboration
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years working in cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- Hands-on experience with Azure services including VMs, Storage, Networking, Azure AD, Key Vault, Security Center, and Policy
- Experience with container services (AKS, OpenShift)
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automation
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VPN, DNS, firewalls)
- Knowledge of cloud identity and access control (RBAC, MFA, conditional access)
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- You must be eligible for SC clearance.
