Your new role

My client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join their team in Cumbria. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all commercial aspects of their construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the commercial team, providing guidance and support.
Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives.
Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, law, and regulations.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Proficiency in financial management and reporting.
Relevant degree or professional qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
