Assistant Operations Manager
Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Assistant Operations Manager based in Kent. This is a full-time position for the successful candidate.
Salary £30,000 - £35,000
Monday to Friday, occasional weekends.
Office Based role - 42.5 hour working week.
Job Summary:
To Assist the Operations Manger in the daily running, co-ordinating jobs, ensure drivers adhere to hours & duties, supervising Ops Admin.
Duties Include:
• Arranging and booking hired plant, generators & any other equipment for upcoming jobs.
• Keep clients informed of any deliveries that will turn up onsite and when
• Responding to last minute order changes, handling any discrepancies such as equipment that maybe faulty, not turned up etc.
• Liaising with site teams regarding equipment on hire
• Keeping job forms up to date with orders, ensuring out of hours details are provided
• Producing PO’s for any orders made
• Generating calendar reminders for all orders
• Look for competitive suppliers for orders
• keeping track of what we are currently being charged with contracted suppliers, ensuring that it is kept at the current price, by checking invoices/orders
• Become the point of contact for Cole Court events, arranging suppliers, contractors, alcohol etc, working closely with the Finance team
• Coordinate and running our in-house events i.e., international rugby
• Provide accurate stock records i.e., opening/closing reconciliation for all in-house events
