Hays are recruiting for a Financial Assistant in a busy Housing Association.
Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working with a reputable housing association who provide homes for people to live well. They are a sustainable organisation who strive to build and maintain quality homes. They are looking to recruit within their Finance team for a Financial Assistant.
Your new role
•Assisting the finance team with monthly analysis of housing component activity including additions, disposals and associated grants
•Update of Real Asset Management (RAM) as and when required
•Support purchase ledger transactions, reconcile supplier statements and follow up invoice requests with suppliers
•Create and maintain supplier accounts
•Preparation of bank reconciliations, Understanding of VAT treatment of invoices, process bank lodgements and contribution to management accounts.
What you'll need to succeed
•Minimum of C at GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent)
•Working knowledge of computerised purchase ledger system
•Excel and Microsoft Experience to a competent standard
•Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and a good level of attention to detail
•Ability to be flexible in your approach to work
•Good communicator and team player
