Hays is proud to partner with a dynamic manufacturing organisation seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their expanding finance team. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to influence operational and financial outcomes across production, supply chain, and commercial functions.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll act as a trusted business partner, delivering high-quality financial insight and challenge to drive performance, efficiency, and profitability. With a strong focus on data-driven decision support, cost control, and strategic planning, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing timely and accurate financial analysis to support decision-making across operational teams
- Identifying cost drivers, production variances, and KPI trends to highlight risks and opportunities
- Leading product and customer profitability analysis to support margin improvement
- Partnering with department heads to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and sensitivity analysis
- Driving cost control initiatives across manufacturing and non-manufacturing overheads
- Developing dashboards and performance metrics to track and benchmark results
- Contributing to strategic projects including ERP upgrades, process automation, and M&A activity
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience
- Proven experience in a commercially focused finance role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and financial modelling expertise
- Ability to extract, transform, and analyse complex datasets to deliver actionable insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence at senior levels
- A proactive, resilient mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration
