Finance Business Partner - Coventry - up to £60k

Your new role

Location: Coventry - University Hospital
Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday–Friday
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000


We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join the Healthcare team, reporting directly to the Finance Transformation Lead working within the Coventry Hospitals Contract. The role is commercially focused; supporting the contract managers and operational teams. This important role will be instrumental in delivering monthly management accounts, delivering finance reports, setting plans, improving processes and monitoring the performance of the business. As this Finance Business Partner, you will deliver commercial insight on business performance to influence decision-making, drive profitable growth and support the delivery of the organisation's long-term strategic goals.
As the Finance Business Partner, you will be working closely with the Senior Team and manage a team of two (analyst and trainee).

Responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts (SAP) and associated reporting.
  • Work closely with the contract managers, operational teams and site admin to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting whilst supporting the business to manage the budget effectively.
  • Working in partnership to flag opportunities and risks early to enable robust accounting and forecasting to take place.
  • Responsibility for production of rolling forecasts, six monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Support efficiency initiatives through cost-based insight and reviews.
  • Drive the impact and understanding of financial information through insightful reporting and interpretation to influence decision-making and promote business performance across the business.
  • Develop and produce, with a team key reports using tools such as Power BI. These reports will have balance sheet reconciliations, P&L insights, Payroll insights, costs drill down. All with full year forecasts and forward guidance. Partnering Directors with this information and taking the initiative to add value to the senior leadership team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will be a full-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).

  • They have proven an ability to work in complex financial environments.

  • You will have experience using SAP and / or CAFMs

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders

  • You will have a high degree of financial, commercial and customer awareness and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment with the ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work-related issues.
