Hays Senior Finance working in Partnership with Noriker Power - Head of Finance - Cheltenham
Hays Senior Finance has been exclusively retained by Noriker Power, a leading renewable energy technology integrator specialising in flexible power solutions that support the UK and Ireland's renewable power grid. As their Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director (MD), you will oversee financial planning, analysis, and management, ensuring that our operations align with our strategic goals. You will manage and help originate external financing relationships, and provide key support for commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for all company financial operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance and maintaining robust internal controls and procedures
- Evaluate key business assumptions, risks, and opportunities affecting operational and project performance, ensuring they are rigorously assessed and proactively managed.
- Develop comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
- Lead equity and debt financing initiatives to support strategic investments and infrastructure projects.
- Structure and negotiate competitive funding solutions, aligning with the company’s financial roadmap.
- Manage relationships with key financial stakeholders, including lead banks, institutional investors, asset managers, and private equity firms.
- Accountability for ensuring seamless and error-free execution of financing transactions and ongoing compliance with funding terms.
- Oversee pre-investment due diligence processes to ensure thorough financial and risk assessment.
- Support M&A, JV, and other corporate development activities by identifying and evaluating strategic financing opportunities.
- Drive initiatives that support revenue generation and optimise pricing strategies across services, products, and assets.
- Monitor and interpret changes in the financial and regulatory landscape, identifying risks and opportunities for the business.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, cost-efficiency programs, and long-term financial models that reflect the organisation’s strategic ambitions.
- Ensure effective cash flow management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimisation.
- Lead the accounting team and maintain high team performance
- Lead and support financial modelling at project and group levels.
- Support commercial negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and off-takers.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or STEM subject.
- A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AIA, or ICAEW is essential. A STEM degree combined with an accounting qualification is highly advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the UK, with demonstrated success in a senior finance role.
- Proven track record in securing and executing complex financing deals, including term sheet negotiation and due diligence oversight.
- Strong commercial acumen with exceptional analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
