Hays Accountancy & Finance are seeking a Finance Manager on behalf of our client, who are a leading charity dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and injuries, with a mission to promote opportunity, choice, and inclusion.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of a dynamic Finance Department, particularly in expense management.

Your new role

  • Support the Finance Department's daily operations with a focus on managing expenses.
  • Ensure adherence to current legislation and meet all statutory filing deadlines.
  • Oversee all expense-related activities, including internal management reporting.
  • Coordinate with statutory organisations, HMRC, and relevant Finance and HR departments.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and analysis work.
  • Managing purchase ledger and creditors control accounts, including credit reconciliations.


What you'll need to succeed
  • IATI qualified or part-qualified accountant, or at least 3 years of experience in a finance function within a large, diverse organisation with multiple income streams and cost centres.
  • Experience in managing purchase ledger and creditors control accounts, including credit reconciliations.
  • Knowledge and experience of internal control systems (e.g., ISO).
  • Experience in balance sheet reconciliation and analysis work.
  • Experience working for a large not-for-profit organisation.
  • Experience of managing and mentoring staff.
