As Financial Accountant, you will be working in a key role supporting the Senior Financial Accountant to ensure that the financial control processes are relevant and fit for purpose and cover the whole University as they prepare to develop and implement changes to the current Finance system.

You will be a fully qualified Accountant at CIPFA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA level with relevant experience in similar roles and a background in large and complex organisations (including subsidiaries and consolidation).
You will have a strong technical accounting and analytical skillset including balance sheet reconciliations and year-end reporting, and proficiency with computer accounting systems and Excel skills. You will be an excellent communicator and able to push back when needed with senior non-financial managers.
