Financial Controller, Finance Business Partner, FMCG, Dungannon

This is an excellent office role Monday - Friday with flexibility.

Your new role

As a Financial Controller , you will play a crucial role in innovating the finance function. You will work closely with the Commercial, Operational Excellence, and Production teams, providing financial analysis and insights to drive business improvement. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Completing cost analysis for the retail site, including product, material, labour, and packaging costs
  • Providing departmental financial analysis and preparing KPI reports
  • Building relationships with key departments and linking finance with the business to influence key decisions
  • Working closely with the commercial team to analyze customer and product profitability and identify profit improvement opportunities
  • Ensuring all costings are signed off before product go-live
  • Challenging and influencing the commercial team on customer volume and margin assumptions
  • Investigating variances in customer volumes and profitability
  • Supporting the retail tender process with accurate inputs and analysis
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Adapting reporting to provide fresh insights into the current reporting framework
  • Assisting in the completion of annual budgets
  • Managing and assisting with ad hoc projects and queries to improve profitability and efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

  • A qualification as a Chartered Accountant with at least 3 years of post-qualified experience
  • Experience working in industry, particularly in a production environment
  • Proven experience in identifying and implementing business process improvements
  • Strong IT skills and experience with ERP systems
  • A commercial focus and knowledge of business operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience managing teams and implementing change
