Location: Newcastle Secondary School
Agency: Hays Education
Position: Supply Teacher (Design Technology/Food & Nutrition)
Working Days: 3-4 days per week
Key Stages: 3 and 4

About the Role:
Hays Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Design Technology (DT) and Food & Nutrition teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Newcastle on a supply basis. This role involves teaching students across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring they receive high-quality education and support in these subjects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in DT and Food & Nutrition.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching DT and Food & Nutrition at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
