Your new role
Hays Logistics are currently looking to recruit an experienced forklift driver for a manufacturing business within the Scunthorpe area. You will be an experienced forklift driver and look to join initially on a temporary basis.
As a Forklift Driver, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and products within the facility. You will be hands-on and prepared to undertake other duties within the business, yard or warehouse as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials and products.
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling of goods.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts.
- Assist with inventory management and stock control.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
What you'll need to succeed
- Valid forklift operator certification, counterbalance etc.
- Proven experience as a forklift driver in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
