A highly reputable firm is seeking a dedicated and commercially aware professional to join their expanding Internal Audit team based in Cambridge, London or Bishop’s Stortford. The Internal Audit team works with a diverse client base, predominantly in the public sector, including education, charity, and not-for-profit organisations. Their mission is to add value, drive improvements, and foster efficiencies for their clients.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Lead internal audit assignments, delivering high-quality outputs for review.
- Plan and execute internal audit cycles, including preparing terms of reference, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct audits at client premises or remotely, accounting for approximately 70% of their time.
- Present findings and advisory assignments, making up the remaining 30% of the role.
- Build relationships with clients and support junior team members.
- Contribute to business development through client meetings, networking, and marketing initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should ideally have the following:
- ACA/ACCA/IIA part or full qualification.
- Proven experience in planning and conducting internal audits.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to interact at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
