HR Manager - 12 Month FTC

Hays HR are currently recruiting for HR Manager to work for a professional services company in West Yorkshire on a 12-month FTC.

Duties will include but not limited to:
  • Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders within the business.
  • Provide first line HR support and advice on all HR issues, including employee relations.
  • Monitor performance and proactively deal with any performance issues in conjunction with the business.
  • Ensure all disciplinary and grievance issues are dealt with in accordance with policy and current employment legislation.
  • Monitor absence issues and proactively manage as appropriate.
  • Support with succession planning and talent management
  • Drive forward a range of initiatives to encourage employee engagement in response to feedback received through the Engagement Survey.
  • Review online exit interviews and ensure thorough feedback is communicated to management as appropriate.
  • Maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring that they continue to meet changing legislative and business requirements.
  • Regular attendance and participation at team meetings.
  • Lead and manage delivery of specific projects as necessary to support the implementation of the people agenda. Proactively identify ad hoc projects as necessary.

Applicants must have:

  • Previous experience at HR Manager level.
  • Experience of working in a professional services environment desirable.
  • Experience of building credibility and working effectively with senior internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to make complex HR decisions autonomously.
  • Pro-active self-starter. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required. A flexible approach to work.
  • Strong knowledge base in all areas of HR including employee relations with a solid grounding in current Employment Law.
  • Excellent organisational skills. Able to demonstrate past experience of juggling multiple priorities and projects effectively.
  • Detail conscious.
  • CIPD qualification desirable.
