Your new job working as a Commercial Account Executive will be based in Watford for an Independent Broker with offices based around the UK with their head office based In the City. Your new Brokers employ over 300 staff around the UK and have grown rapidly in the last 20 years to become one of the top independent brokers in the UK dealing with over 16,000+ clients. Having completed numerous successful acquisitions, the company has secured further funding to continue its ambitious growth plans. Your new Brokers specialise in managing a Property Owners led book of business with a diverse range of challenging risks including Commercial Combined, Motor Fleet and Financial Lines. Due to growth within their Commercial division, a permanent role for a Commercial Account Executive has arisen to deal with a large amount of Property clients.
Your new role
Your new role as a Commercial Account Executive means you will play a key role in managing client relationships, championing insurance products and maintaining excellent customer service standards. You will inherit and develop an existing book of business, driving growth by identifying new client opportunities within general commercial insurance and cultivating recommendations and referrals from existing clients. You will also identify and pursue opportunities to meet clients’ full protection needs through appropriate products and services, analyse clients’ insurance requirements and recommend suitable coverage options and retain clients by providing ongoing support and addressing their concerns promptly. This role will dealing with a Property Bias portfolio dealing with clients from inception to completion
Duties will also include implementing effective sales strategies, staying up to date with industry trends, delivering presentations to potential clients and collaborating with marketing teams to create promotional materials and campaigns. Further duties will include managing policy renewals, endorsements and cancellations efficiently as well as conducting risk assessments for clients and providing informed recommendations whilst working with underwriters to negotiate favourable terms for clients.
You will act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers, develop and manage strategic partner relationships, collaborate with and support Account Handlers providing regular feedback and opportunities for development as well as maintaining accurate clients records and documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have experience in working as a Commercial Account Executive dealing with Property Owners and Commercial business and can travel to Watford. Your proven experience in a similar role including the retention and growth of an existing book of business and the generation of new business opportunities will be beneficial. Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, particularly in phone communication and presenting as well as innovative and creative thinking, ability to work under pressure and strong organisation and time management skills. Experience of Acturis and CII qualification (or willingness to work towards) would be beneficial.
