Permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk job - paying up to £27,000 per annum

Your new company

Hays are working with a well-known construction company in the Worcestershire area who are looking to welcome a Purchase Ledger clerk to their team due to company growth.

Your new role


  • Processing supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Processing Goods Received Notes against Purchase orders
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Preparing payment runs for Purchase Ledger and Subcontractor Ledger
  • Liaising with the Procurement department to resolve supplier queries
  • Processing of Subcontractor payment certificates
  • Running CIS Statements
  • Processing of Staff Expenses

What you'll need to succeed


  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable Role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of Excel, Bacs & Microsoft Dynamics (not essential as training will be given)
  • Organised and methodical
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
