Interim Procurement Manager

A Norfolk-based public-sector organisation is looking for an experienced Public-Sector Procurement Interim to join their team on an interim basis initially for a 3-month period. With hybrid working and highly flexible hours available, this role involves supporting day-to-day procurement, commercial, and contract management activities.

As the Interim Procurement Manager, you will support and play a key role in procurement activities across various business areas, focusing on contract management and procurement within the Corporate and Professional Services categories. Your responsibilities will include developing specifications, evaluation criteria, and tender documents for a range of procurement activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs and will identify and resolve issues within contracts, providing recommendations and implementing necessary changes.

Additionally, you will help explore and recommend the most effective routes to market, including the use of government frameworks. You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop requirements and ensure successful contract awards. The Interim Procurement Manager will analyse management information on contracts to inform contract management decisions, making recommendations for action as needed. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote sound commercial practices and ensure compliance with procurement regulations.

You will need an extensive background in Public-Sector Procurement with a strong working knowledge of Public Contract Regulations (PCR2015) and OJEU processes, with an awareness of the upcoming changes surrounding the Procurement Act 2023. Experience using government frameworks is preferable. You will have exceptional communication and influencing skills and be able to work with minimum supervision and initiative.
