Legal Counsel / Funds Lawyer, Quasi Private-Public Development Organisation, Up to 90k + benefits + bonus
Join a dynamic, collaborative, and high-performing in-house legal team based in the heart of London. This organisation, a quasi public-private sector development bank, is dedicated to making finance markets work better for smaller businesses in the UK at all stages of their development cycle. This team, part of the wider Legal & Governance division, is dedicated to providing top-notch legal support across a broad range of funds-based transactions.
As a Legal Counsel / Funds Lawyer, you will report to the Associate Director and work closely with a team of six legal professionals. You will be instrumental in providing legal support for various product areas, including private closed-ended debt funds, venture capital funds, funds-of-funds, listed funds, and non-regulated investment vehicles. Your expertise will also be crucial in advising on financial regulation and providing general commercial advice in an in-house financial services context.
- Provide legal support for a range of funds transactions.
- Advise on financial regulation and general commercial matters.
- Contribute to know-how and training within the team.
- Manage relationships with external counsel.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various functions.
- A current practising certificate in England & Wales.
- 3+ years PQE.
- Strong academic and training contract background.
- Knowledge of funds is ideal, but other transactional expertise, such as corporate and banking, will be considered.
- A desire to move in-house and an interest in the development sector.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Competitive salary up to £90,000.
