Our client, a reputable organisation in Suffolk, is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic chance to showcase your expertise and contribute to the smooth operation of various facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
- Performing simple electrical repairs and troubleshooting, such as changing light bulbs, replacing switches.
- Carry out basic carpentry work, including repairing furniture, assembling shelves, and fixing doors.
- Undertake painting tasks, such as preparing surfaces, applying coats of paint, and ensuring a neat and professional finish.
- Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and prioritise tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including completed tasks, materials used, and any relevant observations.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, basic carpentry, and painting.
- Demonstrated experience in carrying out maintenance tasks in a professional setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in place.
