Your new role
Responsible for the management of the service level agreements and key performance indicators for the service, Change, Incident and Problem Management ITIL processes, and involvement in critical incident response and business continuity. You will be an integral part of the digital services team managing a team of six and first and second line support workers.
You will manage the service desk and campus support teams tickets to deliver consistent and efficient service, including troubleshooting, technical assistance, and user training, ensuring KPI's and SLAs are developed and met.Overseeing the operation and enhancement of digital platforms, tools, and resources, collaborating with academic departments to support the integration of technology and software into the curriculum and provide training on digital tools for teaching and learning.
You will lead and manage IT projects related to the digital campus, such as system upgrades, new technology rollouts or the introduction of innovative digital services, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the specific needs of the campus community.
Working closely with academic, professional services, and Digital Services teams to understand their digital needs and ensure that the technology infrastructure supports the overall mission of the university, and engage with external vendors, partners, and stakeholders to source and implement the best digital solutions for the campus environment.
You will monitor and evaluate individual and team performance against established goals and KPIs, provide regular feedback and coaching, conduct performance appraisals, identify areas for improvement and implement development plans to enhance skills and productivity.
Maintain open and transparent communication within the team and with other stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is informed about goals, progress, and any challenges, reporting on team performance, project updates, and issues to senior management, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold the following qualification requirements:
Educated to degree level or in possession of an equivalent professional qualification or relevant experience
- Experience of aligning data architecture with business needs
- Knowledge of migrating data from legacy systems and reviewing and analysing data infrastructure
- Experience of leading and managing a team, and delivering high performance
