Monday-Friday, full-time, permanent role, £25,000-£32,000, Preston based, hybrid working.

Your new company

I am currently working with a well-established company, based in Preston, who are currently seeking a Legal Secretary within the team. This role is available due to expansion within the team. The organisation has an excellent reputation within the local market and has a fantastic, engaging and supportive team culture. This is a permanent full-time opportunity where flexibility can be offered for suitable candidates.

  • Reporting to the Head of Legal and working with a team of supportive and motivated employees.

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to a team of in-house solicitors.

  • Your responsibilities will include typing and digital dictation, preparing and processing legal documents and land registry applications.

  • Managing and updating electronic and hard copy systems, and assisting solicitors with day-to-day tasks.

  • You will also handle clerical work such as filing, arranging diaries, and keeping records, ensuring smooth communication and information flow both internally and externally.

  • Assisting with all elements of administration to support the team

What you'll need to succeed

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience as a legal secretary in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks is essential.

  • You should possess excellent secretarial skills, including audio typing, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial, as is the ability to handle a high volume of work and prioritise tasks effectively.

  • The ability to work well within a team and use your own initiative to work independently.
