Social Housing Plumber required for a social housing contractor.

Your new company

Your new role

  • You will assist with providing a first class plumbing service in respect of the maintenance of all domestic sanitary appliances e.g. bathrooms, sinks, taps, drainage etc to all our homes, maintaining a high standard of workmanship in the homes in your area.
  • Ensure that all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity and safety.
  • Have good organisational skills and ability to prioritise a busy and reactive work load.
  • Demonstrate a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Demonstrate reliability, initiative, ability to work as part of a team and on your own.
  • You will communicate with customers and colleagues effectively.
  • Treating our homes with respect and maintain high standards of health and safety & reporting any concerns to your line manager.
  • You will look after the equipment provided to you keeping it in clean and fit working

What you'll need to succeed

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
  • To be able to work a 39 hour working week, with out of hours cover every 1 in 4 weeks with an out of hours payment
  • A full clean drivers licence to be able to drive a company van
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on your own
  • Ability to manage your own time and work to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a positive can do attitude
  • A flexible approach to the working day

What you'll get in return

  • Starting salary £32,020, rising to £33,705 on successful completion of 6 month probation period
  • Covering Salford & Bolton
  • 39 hour week, working hours 8am-4:30pm Monday Thursday & 8am-3:30pm on Friday
  • Start at 26 days annual leave, increasing up to 30 days plus bank holidays
  • Van, Fuel card, Uniform & Tools provided
