Purchase Ledger Clerk required for a business based in Bristol

Your new role
Are you a motivated individual with a passion for finance and accounting? Continued growth at this company provides for several career opportunities, and we are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Accounts Clerk to join their finance team.
Duties will cover:
• Processing purchase invoices.
• Ensuring 3-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipt notes and purchase invoice.
• Pro-actively resolving invoice variances with suppliers and operations.
• Raise BACS runs on a timely basis.
• Reconcile supplier statements in a timely manner.
• Manually coding invoices and ensuring all invoices are authorised.
• Create and maintain supplier account data.
• Dealing with and resolving supplier queries.
What you'll need to succeed
• Previous experience within an Accounts Payable or similar finance role is an advantage but is not essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to work within a team to assist in all areas of the department if/when required.
• To be able to prioritise work and use own initiative, with a problem-solving mindset.
• The role requires a substantial amount of concentration and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills for liaising with customers, suppliers and work colleagues in the UK and overseas both verbally and electronically.
• Confident personality with a desire to progress further - Gradual progression is anticipated within the department to further responsibilities as more experience is gained.
• Training will be provided at each stage of career progression.
• Qualifications to a minimum of GCSE standard is required with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
