Procurement Specialist - Generalist - London
Your new company
You will be working for an international professional services firm focussed on private wealth & business services. With a global presence across many major cities, this firm is known for its strong client-adviser relationships, providing tailored services to a diverse clientele, including large businesses, wealthy individuals, family offices, and wealth managers.
Your new role
This role will be supporting the management of the procurement process, ensuring that services are purchased at optimal value while maintaining strong supplier and internal relationships. This role focusses on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities include areas such as managing the third-party due diligence process, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and procedures, and category management of a range of categories, as these will be key parts of the role, along with identifying and mitigating risks associated with procurement.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities, as well as excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to have a good understanding of category management, with experience across a range of categories to excel in this role. You will need to be diligent when analysing data, generating insights and making informed decisions. Ideally, you will have worked within a green/brownfield function before, with the ability to develop and implement processes and procedures relevant to the business. Due to being a professional services firm, category knowledge surrounding marketing, travel, stationary etc. would be beneficial.
The client is looking for people that have performed to a high standard previously within a professional services environment.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary alongside a generous holiday allowance with the option to buy an additional 5 days per year. You will receive an enhanced employer pension contribution as well as a variety of wider health/wellness benefits available through a central portal.
