Quantity Surveyor Job Based in Nottingham 60k-65k working on new-build houses, refurbishment and renovation.


Your New Company
I am hiring for a dynamic and growing property development company specialising in new-build housing, refurbishments and renovations of brownfield sites that works with timber framing for projects across the Midlands.

Your New Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will work both in the office and on multiple sites, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
Your role will involve:
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Performing risk, value management, and cost control
  • Advising on procurement strategy
  • Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
  • Allocating work to subcontractors
  • Providing advice on contractual claims
  • Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
  • Valuing completed work and arranging payments
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in new-build housing, refurbishments and renovations of brownfield sites and experience with timber framing
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Excellent numerical and IT skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is not mandatory.
