HR Business Partner to support a complex organisation in Southampton, Hampshire
We have an opportunity for HR Business Partner to join a busy People & Culture Team in Southampton.
You will be partnering with senior leadership teams of a division. You will be providing proactive and professional HR Advice and guidance on a range of complex people-management issues. Key duties- Strategic Partnering:
Work closely with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives. - Employee Relations:
Providing expert advice on complex employee relations issues and working with an HR Advisor - Talent Management:
Develop and implement recruitment, retention, and development strategies. - Policy Development:
Create and enforce HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and best practices. - Performance Management:
Support managers in performance appraisals and employee development plans. - Change Management:
Lead HR initiatives related to organisational change, ensuring smooth transitions.
Qualifications:
- Education:
CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience. - Experience:
Proven experience in a Senior HR advisory or HR Business Partner role within complex large-scale unionised environments. - Skills:
Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation including presenting to directors on People & Culture data/reporting.
- Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
This role is offered on an initial 3 months + basis via Hays online time sheets
It will be an opportunity to shape the HRBP role and have longer term possibilities.
Working in Southampton but Hybrid, working with 2–3 days on site.
