Your new role
As a Civil Sales Manager, you will lead and manage the Civil Sales team, driving sales performance and achieving revenue targets. Your key responsibilities will include:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
Identifying and developing new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
Collaborating with internal teams and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless service delivery.
Providing precise cost estimates for projects to support competitive and profitable tender submissions.
Leading the bid and tendering process to secure new projects.
Supporting business development by identifying trends and strategies to enhance market position.
Maintaining in-depth knowledge of civil engineering products and services.
Preparing and delivering accurate quotes, bids, and proposals.
Leading contract negotiations and ensuring favourable terms.
Providing post-sale support to ensure client satisfaction.
Reporting on sales performance, market insights, and forecasts.
Leading, motivating, and training the sales team to achieve goals.
Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Participating in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
Deputising for the Head of Sales & Marketing as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
Management experience, leading sales teams or similar.
Strong sales and estimating experience in the civil engineering/construction sector.
Ability to read drawings and bar schedules.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
