Previous school caretaker or similar experience is highly desirable for this role.
About Us:
We are currently supporting a Middlesbrough school who are looking for a school caretaker to join them on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will join their team to help and maintain their high standards across all schools within the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of school buildings and grounds.
Perform routine inspections and minor repairs.
Manage security, including locking and unlocking premises.
Oversee health and safety compliance.
Coordinate with external contractors for larger maintenance tasks.
Support school events and activities by setting up and dismantling equipment.
Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Strong practical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work across multiple school sites within the trust
A commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
