Science Teacher Job – Hinckley
- Start date: 29th April 2025
- End date: 11th July 2025
- Full-time and long-term position
- Teaching all 3 Sciences at KS3 & KS4
We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 secondary school in South Leicestershire who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join their team from after Easter. This is a full-time and long-term job until the end of the academic year. There is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Due to this being a long-term job, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking.
Job Description
- Delivering engaging and creative Science lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
- Participating in extracurricular activities such as Science/STEM clubs and school trips.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
- Recent experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
- Strong behaviour/classroom management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
