About the Role:
My client are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their Not for Profit organisation in Leicester and lead an established Financial Accounts team. You will oversee the financial accounting functions for multiple entities.
My client are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their Not for Profit organisation in Leicester and lead an established Financial Accounts team. You will oversee the financial accounting functions for multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts and regulatory returns.
- Oversee financial controls, including accounts payable and receivable, balance sheets, and investments.
- Manage the administration of payroll.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, gained from working in a senior financial accounting position. You will be adept at building positive relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external auditors. Proven experience in preparing year-end accounts and producing consolidated statutory accounts, VAT, and other returns is essential. Additionally, you should have experience in successfully managing a team, with the ability to inspire and set clear direction.

Essential Criteria:
- Experience preparing statutory accounts in accordance with UKGAAP, IFRS, and SORP.
- Experience preparing year-end accounts for a medium to large organisation, including producing consolidated statutory accounts, VAT, corporation tax, and other returns.
- Experience managing a team, including performance and workload management.
- Experience working with internal and external auditors.
