Job Summary:
The Actively SC Cleared Migration Support Technician will assist in the setup and execution of device migration and refresh processes. This role involves hands-on support in setting up the Refresh Clinic, moving devices, logging into systems, updating workflow management systems, and conducting stock checks. The technician will work closely with the Contractor Engineer, Site Manager, and Post-Migration Technical Support team to ensure a smooth and efficient migration process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in setting up the Refresh Clinic.
• Move required quantities of devices from onsite storage to the Refresh Clinic as instructed.
• Log into systems as required using provided devices under the guidance of the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
• Refresh laptops and ensure they are ready for use.
• Update the Contractor's workflow management system accurately at all relevant steps.
• Seek guidance from the Post-Migration Technical Support Specialist or Principal for any migration issues.
• Conduct manual stock checks daily and report findings to the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
• Secure devices in the onsite storage location at the end of each day.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
• Previous experience in IT support or a similar role is preferred.
• Basic understanding of IT systems and device management.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to seek guidance when needed.
• Active Security Clearance (SC) is required for this role.
Working Conditions:
• Onsite work at the specified locations in Bristol and Corsham.
• May require working outside of regular business hours to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to lift and move devices as required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the setup and migration process.
