Support Worker - Temporary long-term and permanent positions available
Your new company
At Hays, we are searching for experienced support workers to join the agency for temporary long-term placements supporting children and young people with EBD in residential homes, supporting living homes for young adults and adults and mental health support.
Your new role
You will be required to carry out various skills as an experienced support worker to help support vulnerable others. There will be a mixed pattern of shifts including days/waking nights/sleep shifts, and you will be required to have flexibility within your availability. Some services may require some personal care or assisted personal care, depending on the needs of the service users. You will be required to promote independence and confidence whilst also taking a calming and soothing approach to help promote a safe and caring environment.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will need to have at least 6 months of relatable experience within social care within the UK, you will need to have 2 reference details prepared from the UK only and at least one reference must be social care related. If you have only worked for social care agencies, you must have at least one placement reference detail to hand. It is not essential but highly desired for you to have your social care qualifications e.g. NVQ level 2 and 3 in social care etc...
It is not essential but highly desired for you to have a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, you may need to be able to drive to get to some of the services.
