Young persons project officer - Wigan - temporary contract

Your new company

We are recruiting a project officer for a supported housing project based in Wigan for young adults aged 16–25 years old.


Your new role

You would provide key worker support for customers through advocacy, 1-2-1 support and in group work settings to include life skills and independent living skills. You will be expected to produce support and action plans and risk assessments. Alongside this, you would be expected to provide scheme cover on a rota basis maintaining the safety and security of the scheme.

This is a full-time role based on site on the scheme-you would be expected to work on a 3-weekly rota and the hours you work would be 8-4pm, 11-7pm or 12-8pm.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a confident communicator, able to build excellent relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds. You will have the ability to manage your own diary with minimal supervision. It is essential you have knowledge of safeguarding, possess tenacity and resilience, and you must possess grade GCSE C or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
