We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher to join their team on a full-time basis as an SEN teacher. In this role, you will inspire a love for teaching and bring the enthusiasm and energy needed to make a positive impact on children’s lives.

About your role as an SEN Teacher

As an SEN Teacher, you will have excellent knowledge of the curriculum. Some of your duties will include:

  • Preparing engaging lessons and assigning relevant homework
  • Cultivating a positive, creative, and adaptable teaching environment
  • Encouraging enthusiasm and dedication to positively impact student wellbeing and academic progress
  • Maintaining a positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
  • Ensuring timely marking and evaluation of all work
  • Designing lessons according to curriculum requirements, ensuring students are well-prepared for national exams
  • Accurately recording and maintaining student attendance, attainment records, and grades
  • Preparing regular reports for parents and attending parent-teacher meetings


What you will need to succeed

  • You will need to hold a Qualified Teacher Status and the right to work in the UK.
  • Experience working within a primary classroom
  • Experience teaching SEN in the UK, including EAL, ADHD, Autism, EBD, SEMH
  • Experience working with children with SEN needs
  • Good behaviour management and organisational skills
  • You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Hays
