My client is a small independent consultancy with a range of work in London and the Home Counties. They have a wealth of experience delivering protected species surveys and BNG assessments to clients in a variety of industries.
Your new role
You'll be supporting primarily with data collection for BNG baseline condition assessments, gained from a range of commercial and private sites from less than a hectare to medium-sized sites. Some may be garages, some proposed demolitions, some urban developments.
You may also conduct a variety of ecological surveys, including Phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species surveys (e.g., bats, amphibians, reptiles, birds), and Preliminary Ecological Appraisals.

What you'll need to succeed
- At least 1 season of ecological survey experience; 2 is ideal
- A full UK Driving licence and vehicle for survey use
- Equipment; Torch, telescopic ladder, PPE (industry standard hi-vis clothing, steel toe-capped and steel insole boots), camera (standard), computer/laptop, mobile.
- Qualifying CIEEM membership
Desirable but not essential:
- Working toward a protected species licence
- CSCS card
- Bat survey equipment
