Procurement Lead Sustainability - High Profile worldwide organisation

Your new company

My client is a leading name with consumers, recognisable worldwide with a strong brand reputation. Their products are sold online and in stores, with advertising across digital, OOH and retail spaces - not to mention high-profile partnerships and sponsorships. Together, we have partnered to recruit the job of Sustainability Procurement Lead on a contract basis to cover maternity leave, initially for 9 months.

Your new role

As Sustainability Procurement Lead, you will take ownership of shaping what is a recently formed role in the organisation, you will be the go-to person for knowledge and link into the European taskforce. There are in pipeline a number of circular economy projects to take ownership. You will build and develop relationships with each of the department heads leading to an agreed pipeline of ESG activity, taking shared accountability for its delivery and impact.

This is an exciting time and area to work in for business as Sustainability continues to take a focus, a thorough understanding of ESG & Sustainability will be invaluable alongside an understanding of CSRD

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in a procurement environment focused on sustainability as a full or part-time element of your role,

  • Thorough understanding of ESG / Sustainability

  • Understanding of CSRD, knowledge and what means for organisation

  • Effective communication and influencing skills, able to communicate activity internally to demonstrate progress and success

  • Good organisational skills; able to manage timelines and deadlines

  • Ability to commute to Weybridge on a hybrid basis, ideally 3 days per week

  • Commitment to a contract role, for 9 months, to ideally start in mid-March, paid on a daily rate basis (agency contract)
