ACCOUNTANCY SUPPORT JOBS FAQs

The average salary for an accountancy support role is £26,000 per annum. This, of course, will vary depending on location and experience.  

While you don’t need any formal qualifications to be an accountancy support assistant, it may help you to undertake professional studies and courses. The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is very well recognised as a qualification but there are also courses you can undertake with the Accounts Payable Association (APA) and the Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers (IAB) for example, and these studies would enhance your CV and career experience.  

You will work as a key part of any accounting and finance team with important tasks such as processing and recording transactions, preparing reports, VAT, communicating with suppliers and getting involved with projects to improve process efficiency.
